MetaTrader 4
Full trade history export from MT4 Account History
MetaTrader 4 exports your complete trade history as a formatted HTML file. The parser reads all closed orders including commissions, swaps, and partial fills.
Before you start
- MetaTrader 4 terminal installed
- Account History tab visible in the Terminal panel
Step-by-step guide
- 1
Open the Terminal panel
In the MT4 platform, press Ctrl+T to open the Terminal window, or go to View → Terminal.
- 2
Switch to Account History
Click the "Account History" tab at the bottom of the Terminal panel.
- 3
Set date range
Right-click anywhere in the history list and select "All History" — or set a custom date range by choosing "Custom Period".
- 4
Export as Detailed Report
Right-click the list again and choose "Save as Detailed Report". Save the file as an .html file anywhere on your computer.
- 5
Review and import in Composure
Go to Journal → Import Trades, select the .html file, review the parsed trades, then click Import selected trades. If the download arrived as a ZIP, unzip it first and upload the HTML file itself.
Important notes
- Duplicate trades (same symbol, direction, open time, and price) are automatically skipped on re-import.
- Partial closes are imported as separate entries matching the MT4 history.
- Commission and swap values are included in the P&L calculation.
- Make sure your MT4 terminal is set to English — other languages may export different column labels.
