Closed Positions export from Quantower

Quantower exports closed positions with full round-trip data including gross and net P&L, fees, entry/exit prices, and timestamps. Both Gross P&L and Net P&L columns are supported.

Before you start

  • Quantower platform installed
  • Positions panel accessible

Step-by-step guide

  1. 1

    Open the Positions panel

    In Quantower, open the Positions panel. This is usually accessible from the main panel list or dock.

    Switch to Closed Positions

    In the Positions panel, click "Closed Positions" to show your completed trades.

  3. 3

    Set date range

    Use the date filters at the top of the panel to select the period you want to export.

  4. 4

    Export CSV

    Click the export icon (usually a download arrow) and choose CSV format. Save the file to your computer.

  5. 5

    Review and import in Composure

    Go to Journal → Import Trades, select the .csv file, review the parsed trades, then click Import selected trades.

Important notes

  • Quantower supports connections to many brokers and data feeds — the Closed Positions CSV format is the same regardless of the broker you are connected to.
  • Net P&L (after fees) is used when available; falls back to Gross P&L if the Net column is not present.
  • Quantower is commonly used with Rithmic, CQG, and Interactive Brokers connections.
